Today, I tried to hold my new boyfriend's hand while on a date. He let go quickly though, letting me know that we aren't at "that stage" of the relationship yet. We've been having sex for two weeks now. FML

Hate to be THAT person on FML, but I would seriously consider leaving that relationship. If he's ******* you but can't be bothered to hold your hand in public, that's a bit of a red flag. Then again you could always talk to him, but this just seems a bit suspect to me. EDIT: And to the comments before me, using sex as a weapon is immature.

To all the people saying and thinking women hold the power in the relationship because they control the sex: If she can stand to withhold sex as a weapon, you're probably not that good in the sack. If she wanted it just as much as you, then she would be just as desperate for sex to resume, making it an ineffective weapon.

Just want to put it out there that some people just don't like holding hands.

Instead of jumping to conclusions and dumping him I would just ask him about it.

Different interpretation of "handjob" I assume.

damn y'all have been ******* for a full fortnight straight

My ex did that before. Everytime I would try to hold his hand in public he would tell me that he thought holding hands seemed immature and it wasn't his thing. Then I found out I was his side chick for 2 out of the 4 years he was with his real girlfriend. sorry to break it to you, but you deserve better than someone who doesn't want to hold your hand after 2 weeks of having sex.

So he's willing to be sexual with you be not intimate. That's an issue. Some guys feel that sex is not a big deal. But holding hands, falling in love and sharing hopes and dreams are another level.
