Today, I turned 18. My parents remembered that I loved German chocolate cake, so I awoke to a hot, fudge-filled chocolate cake with a slice cut out just for me. I've been lactose-intolerant for 8 years. As I cried, my mom handed me tissues, while eating the "Happy" part of my cake. FML

OP discovered a cake that they fell madly in love with 8 or more years ago. 8 years ago, they could no longer have this cake or anything else containing dairy products. Today is their 18th birthday. Their family made OP the previously mentioned cake that OP has not been able to eat for 8 years and still cannot eat. OP cried because they can't eat this delicious birthday cake and evidently, their family doesn't know her very well. OP's mom ate a piece of the cake which had a smiley face or something on it. Do you get it now? It's not that hard to understand...

Dude, who cares about the aftermath, eat it anyway.

If you actually cried, you need a few bad things to happen in your life so you know what's worth crying over and what isn't.

I'm confused here. If you were lactose intolerant and couldn't eat that cake, how could you love it? Also, crying over it at the age of 18 is a bit over the top.

hey dumbass you can take lactate pills to help u eat or drink dairy products douchebag

Stop acting like a baby and get lactase pills. I am also lactose intolerant, but I have little single serving pouches that contain a lactase pill stashed everywere (car, purse, backpack, kitchen) so that whenever I want something with dairy I can just grab one or two and I have no problems. You are 18- its time to be a big girl.

Just want to say. At least your parents remembered your 18th birthday. Half my family didn't remember mine.

She was probably crying more so about how her family didn't pay attention to the fact tht shes been lactose intolerant for the past eight years, tho eating someones favorite food in front of there face when they cnt have any is probably pretty hurtful too lol

It doesn't even matter though, my best friend (who I have known since we were like 3) is lactose intolerant, and he has these pills that he takes if he wants to eat anything dairy. So the moral of the story is: quit your bitching, take your pill, and eat the god damn cake.

Just buy lac-taid or dairy relief supplement. Wow, some people are such idiots. I've been lactose intolerant for 8 years and that's how I survive.
