#7 just gives credence to the idea that people can choose to be gay. Maybe she doesnt try to get with other girls because the idea is as revolting to her as to a straight guy asked to have sex with another guy. Its not a matter of pragmatism like you seem to think, 7. Homosexuality isn't a choice so it can't be more "popular." It would get more respect if you didnt treat it like a hobby.
