Today, I used a public bathroom. I hung my purse up on the hook on the door. Two minutes later, a hand reaches over the door and steals my purse. I got robbed while taking a crap. FML

I hate public bathrooms, I hold all of my things and I never sit down unless I put toilet paper down on the seat. They are disgusting and they smell. That really sucks that you got robbed. FYL

I really don't get people on this site. How can anyone honestly say she deserves this? She deserves it because... 1. "She used a public restroom?" Um... if you're in a mall, or a movie theater, or pretty much any public place and you just ate a meal and you need to go, are you seriously supposed to wait til you get home? That could be a half hour drive and honestly, there are times when those suckers won't take "no" for an answer. Hell, what if she's in school? If she's in high school, it's not really possible to go the administration office and say, "Excuse me. Can I be excused to go home so I can take a crap?" In college, campuses are friggin' huge. To get from my classes to my dorm/apartment is at least 20 minutes. 2. "She used the hook on the door?" That's what they're there for. Who really anticipates that a douchebag would reach OVER and take something that they can't even see? They also have baby changing stations in restrooms for mothers to use. Should we anticipate a creeper to sneak in other the stall, take the baby, and skedaddle as well? 3. "She's a girl and girls don't poop?" Well damn, I can't help you there. Then I'd have to tell you that Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy don't exist either. Oh... did I just ruin it? Sorry. 4. "She didn't go catch him/her?" SHE'S TAKING A CRAP. Dropping the deuce. It's kinda hard to react in time and outrun the person who just took your purse. Damn, what the hell is wrong with people these days.

that would suck if it were true. how would someone know ur bag is hanging there? the hook is below the top of the door so no one on the outside is able to see. pathetic how ppl make shit up to get on the site

You can watch someone go into the stall with a bag and hear it go on the hook/see the door move a little. And usually you can see the edge of a larger bag through the cracks on either side of the door. It's completely plausible, actually.

most women know not to use hooks in bathroom stalls unless they're in the middle of the door. Purses get stolen all the time off those damn hooks... so hopefully you learned a lesson. Use a middle door hook or those fold up tables that stay down when a bag is on them, when available, when not, put it on top of the toilet paper! Restrooms shouldn't even have those hooks anymore, they're too risky.
