Get Well Soon op. Biggest thing :- Stay hydrated!! Dehydration headaches aint fun!! To help ease cold symptoms my Mum always swore by hot water, lemon juice and honey with a titch of ginger; of course the good ole chicken or onion soup! Don't laugh but I discovered that chopping an onion in half and placing on a plate chopped side up by your bedside helps too - apparently it draws out toxins as you sleep, my kids swear by it, and to get a teenager to agree with you on anything.....
I try to keep Listerine around for sore throat issues. If caught early, it helps. I have read on Earth Clinic website that Cayenne Pepper helps with sore throats. There are probably some recipes on there that may help. Good Luck!!

Ouch, I feel for ya, especially the headaches! When I cough it hurts so much, I can actually feel the blood pulsating inside my scull. I wish you a quick recovery!!
My little sister puked for eight hours straight on Christmas Eve, and then I caught the same damn thing and puked for five hours, not to mention I missed my time and a half pay for working holidays because I couldn't make it to my second shift. Things could be a lot worse OP, just have some chicken soup and water.
