Today, I waited in line at a drive-through behind a man for ten minutes. I got out of my car, cursed at him, and then asked him to give me one good reason why it would take that long to order. The man slowly explained to me that he had a stutter. FML

Why the hell would you go screaming at the driver? The people working drive-thru could've been slow for all you know.

**** him, it was incredibly rude for him to use the drive through lane when the ONLY WAY to communicate is via a way he has extreme difficulty communicating. Drive-thru is designed for speediness. If he was unable to do it, he should have gone inside where he could aid his communication via gestures, motions, or even writing down the order, and everyone, including him, would have gotten served faster.

Wow that's kind of harsh, if people are that impatient about food maybe they should make their own. No ones perfect and never will be, don't blame someone for his faults he can't control.

True it might not have been smart on his part but was she really justified in lashing out at him? No. And if the drive through is designed for speed you may want to pass that memo along to my local food chains. Most of the time I avoid the drive through altogether because it is actually quicker for me to walk in and order than it is for me to go through the drive through. Maybe it was a step for him in a speech therapy program, a hurdle to overcome.

I agree the stutterer should have gone inside. along with the people who order 20 meals thru the drive. the drive thru I made for speediness but it's because of people like mr stutterer that it takes me 15 minutes to get my hungry daughter some freaking chicken nuggets when it should have been 5 or less and even that's pushing it.

Dude could have gone inside with a list. Having a disability doesn't mean the whole world revolves around your ass.

the drive through isn't made for speediness, it's made for laziness aka ppl who don't want to get out of the ******* car. it takes just as much, if not less, time getting out and going in. I've experimented with this theory... plus I saw it on the history channel on the history of fast food.

#77 and #273...really? so because the guy has a speech impediment, he doesn't deserve to go through the drive-thru? in that case, i don't think drunk, high, or stupid people who can't even remember what reastaurant they're actually at should be allowed to go through the drive-thru either because they all take a considerable amount of time to order as well. i know this from working a drive-thru. the OP had absolutely no right to complain or yell at him. it's not like she was cooking the food she was waiting for, nor did she have to go to the store and buy it first. 10 minutes is not a long time at all when you think of it that way. i mean, what? you're that fat? if this even actually happened. people like to make things up for sites like this.

Obviously he shouldn't be banned from the drive through, and unless someone is beating a wife or kid there's no reason to act how the OP did. However, I do agree the polite thing to do would be to go inside if you've got speech difficulties. In my mind it's the same as someone with a cartful of groceries using the U-Scan-It aisle. It's frustrating when people aren't considerate, but if you're gonna flip your shit every time it happens, you'll waste a lot of time and energy over your lifetime.

Your right... the world doesn't revolve "around his ass" and it certainly doesn't revolve around yours either because that shit would stink. People with disabilities should not have to be cast off to the side because you're a prick and just happen to be in a hurry.

Do people like you try to be complete assholes?

Even though you didnt know, you still shouldnt have been a harsh ice queen, Sket.

how fat are you that 10min seems long. I waited in like for 30before so you sir are a douche

You really are a cow aren't you? I used to stutter, luckily for me, I never encountered any rude people with anger management issues like you, and mostly cured it. Bitch.
