Today, I walked in on my son flopping around on the floor with a blanket wrapped around his legs. Apparently at age 22, he'd rather pretend to be a mermaid than go out and get a damn job. FML

Not gonna lie, I have similar priorities.

Maybe he can get a job at Sea World?

At first I thought, "How cute!"...until I saw age 22. Im not sure if there's a positive to this situation.

Yes, if he is able, then he should go out and get a job. But as far as the age thing.. The average age for cosplayers ( people who like to dress up like the character they are a fan of ) is 26. So, yes he has responsibilities that he needs to take care of first. But what he is doing isn't that strange or unusual, at all.

To be fair, I'm 28 and I'd rather pretend to be a mermaid than go to work and be an adult.

that's on you.. should of raised him better

I mean, I would rather do that too. Maybe I will, in my limited free time. But I'm going to college instead.

he brought joy to your weary soul. that's his job.

Sounds like the movie "Freddy got fingered" IRL.
