Discharging a firearm in a residential area is a crime. I hope your neighbours did their neighbourly duty and called the coppers on you.
YDI for shooting at an innocent animal, and for being stupid enough to miss.
You deserve to be in a psych ward. Shooting at an animal for eating some flowers? That doesn't sound right.
Wow. I'm definitely liberal and have been called a hippie many times, but I'm totally for shooting the rabbit. Fences really don't work depending on where you're living (even chicken wire ones) and I think that poison is way too dangerous for a variety of reasons, plus more inhumane. What I think this shows is the complete disconnect with nature that has developed--even if you buy meat from a grocery store, you're killing it--and a disturbing ignorance about what is done to the animals who are, to quote #134, "birthed and raised for food." It's much more humane to kill a bunny (yes a cute fuzzy wuzzy bunny or any other WILD animal) that has gotten to enjoy life out of a feed lot. It's probably tons healthier for you too. Maybe its because I grew up hunting and fishing safely with no swimming pools involved, but I'd also argue if you can't kill, don't eat meat and get off your high horse. Most vegans and vegetarians have no idea what level of impact they are still having on the environment with their lifestyle choices (Mr. Awesome and knowledgeable motorcycle veg excluded..sorry I'm to lazy to look up your name). I'd also argue though, it you're not going to eat it, you really shouldn't kill it unless you must. And really, all you people who said you'd totally let rats live in your houses? I'm calling liars on you. Not only is that fairly dangerous-disease wise, but they also bite people, chew through wiring, and smell like shit when they die in your walls and you can't get to them. OP. If you ARE in an urban area (which you might NOT be), get an airsoft gun. No matter what, learn gun safety and how to aim.
#238, you're a ******* moron. "As for all you ignorant asses that are proud humans are the top of the food chain, the only reason we're there is because of man made weapons. If we had no weapons, we'd easily be toward the bottom. Other animals can kill us, making us obviously not the top. Get a brain, douchebags." Do you know WHY we don't have claws and incredibly sharp teeth? Because we've evolved, jackass. We gained intelligence that has allowed us to outsmart our prey and make useful weapons that reduces the energy required for a meal. Just because I can't kick a tiger's ass one on one doesn't mean that I can't kill it or that it makes me any less of a hunter. We just evolved past having to use brawn to take down a meal.
I Agree with #34. Dealing with critters who come through your home is fine. I am sure that all of you have placed poison for insects and mouse traps for mice (Hey they are trying to survive too! So why do you kill them? Cause they are pests!) Still YDI. Seriously you outsmarted by a rabbit! LOL.

Not only did you try to kill it instead of just relocating it, but you tried to justify your shit aim with 'the bullet missed' instead of 'I missed'. This one calls for a YDI unfortunately.
Sounds like a Tom & Jerry episode.
