I agree. My parents would never resort to slapping me or my brother. It's just inappropriate and makes kids think that doing that to their peers is okay, too. Talking to them or moving them away from the object is the more reasonable option. All those that disagree with me are old hags.. honestly, times have changed and hitting/slapping/whatever the **** you want to call it is NOT okay. I am not overreacting at ALL. i would have slapped someone if they slapped my kid, too. =] So YDI for slapping any child.
You know why your parents would never resort to slapping you? It's because they're probably too busy trying to be your friend. I'm sorry, but a lot of parents absolutely SUCK at raising kids. Especially in the states. We've got a bunch of overweight brats rolling around doing whatever the **** they want because they're being raised by absentee moms and SNAG's (Sensitive New Age Guys). I don't think there's anything wrong with smacking a kid on the hand or spanking them or anything. Being punished is a part of remaining humble. And don't tell me that being told to go to your room or stand in the corner is punishment, because it's not. Oh, and I agree with #20. You know, for being the most powerful country, we're raising a bunch of *******. Ha ha. FYL
Thank you! I totally agree with you. If parents stopped trying to be a friend instead of a parent maybe their kids would actually respect them, behave and do as they are told. I was disciplined by my parents this way and it never demaged me in any way, it just made me a better person. You have taken the words out of my mouth #75.
All you people that are against spanking your kids I would be willing to bet your children are some brats that make scenes any where in public a kid needs a good spanking everynow and then if that child was going to put a knife in a electrical socket and the girl slapped the childs arm away I am sure you would look at it different if the mother slapped the girl in the face. children need dicipline if they dont get diciplined for the little things what makes you think they will know the difference in the life taking situations. there children.
lmao you deserve it, but the kid deserved it also
Wow. I personally think there's nothing wrong with this. They certainly didn't DESERVE to be slapped in the face by the mother. Mothers are a little crazy these days. I know it's all about protecting your "cubs" or whatever, but moms baby their children way more than they need to. Maybe she should've been more concerned about her son touching expensive objects. I mean, if someone slapped my sibling I'd kinda be like, WTFH? But I wouldn't retaliate by slapping them back. There has to be a good reason if you're going to come up and slap a three year old's wrist, so I think the mom needs to mellow the **** out. This guy obviously just made a mistake, and they clearly didn't knock the kid out. They merely were trying to get his attention. Stupid kids. They're always crying about everything.
And may I also say that I am so freaking tired of hearing FMLs of getting slapped. It's not the site, it's the immature assholes who don't know how to deal with problems and automatically think, "Oh, I'll just slap whoever I want!". Grow up and keep your hands to yourself.
[gropes you] Hey, I'm not slapping ;D Durrhurrhurr...
AAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. YDI so much!
why would you slap him when hes touching expensive stuff anyway? it will move his hand and the stuff falls and breaks.

I like your approach of slap first, ask questions later. You would make a good pimp.
How can this be anything else then a YDI?
