Today, I was breast feeding my son. Out of nowhere, he bit my nipple hard, causing me to scream in pain. He giggled with my nipple still between his teeth. FML

OP here. I can't believe this got posted before I went to bed! Hahaha! For some reason this got edited out, but he ended up smacking me in the face after he bit me. He's 9 months old so he thinks it's hilarious obviously. And I'm not sure why it didn't show my name, I posted it while logged in. And as for the person who said time for bottle feeding, he won't take a bottle, which is fine with me! He's teething so he tends to bite more when he is. Glad to know my son has made people laugh :)

I'm surprised comments haven't been deactivated yet because of the never-ending and completely stupid debate about at what age a kid should be weaned, and of course there are the nutcases who seem to want to be human dairy cows, and are breastfeeding their five-year-olds and putting their own milk in adult food and other creepiness.

Not all breast feeding moms are like that. I don't plan to breast feed until he's 5, the latest I would like would be 2 or 3. But I'm not going to judge moms that do breast feed until 5, because it isn't my place to judge. The benefits from breast feeding are amazing, and I'm glad that I am lucky enough to experience it. But don't be that person who talks down on women who breast feed, no matter what age their baby/kid is. It's not affecting you.

agreed. Those moms are members of the Le Lechè League, some of which continue to breastfeed until well past 5 years of age. It's not like anyone who is breastfeeding is shoving it in your face, they only breastfeed to give nourishment to their children. & it's NOT a sexual thing like most people think, nor will it scar a child.

Too many idiots commenting here, please educate yourself on breastfeeding instead of spouting opinions that have no relevance, why should she quit cause her baby has teeth, that would be selfish. Why would any mother compromise what's best for her baby for her own good?

You stop breast feeding when the teeth start to grow out >.>

you either need to do some research, or read the previous comments. the baby is 9 months old. health organisations recommends breastfeeding for ONE year.

Your profile says you're a 16 year old boy, #120. I doubt you know ANYTHING about breast feeding, and it's obvious by your comment.

If you'd look at my original comment, it says he's 9 months. So he's far from 5.

Must've been covered in filling from a hot pocket! *OP Trolls in saying hot pocket lava death is okay for ages 0-3*

Stories like these make me NEVER want to breast feed when I have children someday...

That's just part of breastfeeding. Grow up and deal with it. You're doing the right thing for your child.

God forbid I post something that happened to me while breast feeding that hurt and thought others might get a laugh out of! Shame on me for not dealing with it like I have these past 9 months. :(

Its easy for people to be so critical of posts, they think the OPs are being whinny or something but that's not what FML is, FML is for funny stories and stuff that sucks. Obviously, it sucked that your kid bit you... but people go to far and start debating about whether you should be breastfeeding or not, or how you should deal with the situation. Its easy to get like that when you don't know the full story or when you've never posted an FML before, haha. No worries, not everyone has the same experiences. Some people forget, that's all. :D I mean, its not like you said, "hey! my kid bit me! I quit!" lol, you did just tell a funny story of something bad that happened to you, that's what this site is all about!

Maybe no one should post their troubles, what a fun site that would be
