Today, I was breast feeding my son. Out of nowhere, he bit my nipple hard, causing me to scream in pain. He giggled with my nipple still between his teeth. FML

OP here. I can't believe this got posted before I went to bed! Hahaha! For some reason this got edited out, but he ended up smacking me in the face after he bit me. He's 9 months old so he thinks it's hilarious obviously. And I'm not sure why it didn't show my name, I posted it while logged in. And as for the person who said time for bottle feeding, he won't take a bottle, which is fine with me! He's teething so he tends to bite more when he is. Glad to know my son has made people laugh :)

How can so many women know so little about breast feeding when it's their own body? Some of these comments are painful to read!

I couldn't agree more. ignorance about breastfeeding makes me cringe.

It's mostly by women who haven't had children yet I would assume. Women who are pregnant, trying to have a baby, or have had children would have most likely researched this stuff. I would guess that the majority of FML readers are of collage age or younger (just a guess I don't really know) who would not have experience with these things. People really shouldn't talk about things they don't know anything about, though.

I'm not a mom and don't want to be, but I agree. Hopefully most of these idiots spewing ridiculous falsehoods don't procreate either.

maybe start pumping the milk and putting the baby on a bottle? you can still bond with the baby if you're holding the lil one and bottle during feedings.

OP already stated he won't take a bottle. My daughter is the same way. Some babies just refuse, and it is pointless to try to force them to take one.

sorry guys I was too quick to comment.. I've gone back and read and now I've realized how repetitive I was. I totally agree though. I was lucky, my girl loves her bottle!

why are you still breast feeding if hen has teeth?

I think breast feeding is disgusting in general.. But do what you like. If the kid has teeth you shouldn't have been breast feeding him anymore anyway. YDI

How is breastfeeding disgusting? Believe it or not, that's what they were intended for. It's natural and healthy for a mom and baby.

biting is a stage, usually comes with teething. My daughter is almost 2, still nursing. and stopped biting.

Yep that's happened to me a few times! And then everyone asks why I don't just wean!

if he has teeth hes to old for breast feeding

If your son has teeth, you shouldn't be breast feeding.

Please do some research before you comment something idiotic and untrue.

My son 6 months no teeth yet... So nervous for when they come in

Mine didn't get any until he was 10.5 months. He enjoyed gumming my by nips. He's only bit me once really hard with his 2 teeth.

my daughter is underdeveloped orally and the dentist said that it is better to be underdeveloped than overdeveloped so dontcha worry!

First sign of teeth...... straight to bottle.

Mine won't take a bottle. He hasn't since he was a newborn. He just chews on the nipple.

I giggled at that, OP. That's not the only nipple he's chewing on anymore. xD
