Today, I was choosing my soft drink at a restaurant. The kid in front of me was too short to reach the lids so I handed him one. His mom rushed over, pried it out of his hands, threw it away, and yelled, "She's filthy, don't use that." FML

You deserved it 3 150

td1078 tells us more.

I wrote this FML story and for the record I was in a suit and heals, with my hair and makeup done, as i was on my home from the office. The woman was just a B. More than anything it was funny because she was so hysterical over a seemingly innocent gesture.

You just can't be nice these days can you? There's that guy that wanted to search for babies suffering in the heat and now this women who thinks OP is a walking parasite just because she handed a lid over.

Even if you are dirty, atleast you dont have a dirty heart like that girl.

Maybe the mom was suggesting that you were filthy in the way we dirty, dirty men prefer? So, what's your number? And how high were those "heals"? I gots ta know!

It's funny how most people assumed that you were really skanky and the woman was right. I assumed that the woman was a racist or some over protective psycho like Carrie's mother. The poor kid's gonna be a **** up.

I bet he is her first child and germs are very scary to a first baby mom. I mean HES HER BABY!! But yeah what an influence shes gonna make on him crazy over the top woman.

Moms like that just... I don't even know what to say. Is protecting your child from a teeny bit of germs (that probably won't even make them sick) worth hurting someone's feelings over? No. It really isn't. I understand wanting to protect your child, but I don't understand why you'd have to hurt someone's feelings in the process. FYL, OP. People are just rude sometimes.

I'm willing to bet the mother was one of those people that gets jealous of 'successful' people, yet is unwilling to put effort into anything, so she just resorts to being an ass towards people. Or I could be completely wrong. .

Overprotective mother or you need a shower =P Or equally the mother could have OCD and be really cleanly.
