Today, I was doing takeout orders at the restaurant I work at. I spent a long while putting together this guy's $135.00 order. When he finally got there to pick it up, I told him to fill out the credit card slip. I looked at it after he left. He gave me a 40 cent tip. FML

most people i know don't leave tips when they order food to go, i guess coz most of the work put into it was done by the cooks, not the waiter/waitress. or something like that.

People who works as waiters or in this case, delivery, they are paid below the standard pay. That is why they need all the tips, that's where like half, if not more, of their money comes from. She went out of her way to deliver this $135 order and got 40 cents. Don't serve that ungrateful bastard anymore. Should've gotten like $10 for tip or something. For deliverymen, I tip them a bit more cause they actually have to travel all the way to my house, even in crappy weather. People who think this is stupid, you try doing her job instead, you'll be complaining about low tips. Waiters and such are not on the bottom. Would you work that job? No. You'd think it's too low. Such jobs are hard work. I'd rather work a job like that and learn the hardships of living. To think that such an experience is low means that you're low yourself.

Being that its take out its understandable but the only way I don't tip when I am at a table and actually being waited on is if the service is horriffic if you give exceptional service I'll tip as much as 50%

the ignorance that has been displayed speaking on this topic is phenominal. People need to get their minds right and read what they are writing up here. Maybe you will see how increadibly stupid u are. Not tipping anyone who does YOU a service is a show of bad character and manners. so the next time you go out at least ACT as if u have class and tip your server!

for most full service and casual dinning restaurants take out servers have to do more than just "get a bag from the kitchen" most of them package your food, check the order for accuracy prepare side items condiments etc and provide everything you need. take out servers do not expect to make much on tips but in the event of a large order especially a tip should be given. there Is much more prep done than just "grabbing a dam bag from the kitchen" Jack asses

Hmm.. First it was a 3/4 naked picture. And now its a naked picture. No one cares what your sick of. And do you honestly think she deserves to get raped? Cuz in my opinion.. No one no matter how stupid.. Deserves to get raped. Yes I agree that her picture was not necessary. And it was very stupid to post it online. But that being said, wearing a bra and underwear is the same as wearing a bikini. And people who wear bikinis to the beach have just as much of a chance of getting raped as someone posting a picture like that online. Anyone could get raped just by going out in public or just by posting a picture online period. Even you. Her picture was none of your business.. It was her business and her parents business. And there was no need for you to go off like that. Your calling her a minor. But you were acting more like one than she was. She was commenting to the post. You were being a bitch. End of story.

maybe he thought you were acting like a bitch

u all are either extreamly ignorant or have no clue what goes on in a restaurant plz just stfu if u don't know what ur talking about plz jeez

10% on a take out order is pretty standard. Regardless of what you tip, the server has to tip out food runners, bussers, hostesses, bartenders, and where I work some of the kitchen staff a certain percentage of your SALES not tips. It's not really a big deal on small tabs, but something that large takes a long time to put together. I had a guy tip me
