Guess the value of hard work has gone down recently???
Wow, sucks. Sounds like that isn't the type of boss you'd want to have anyways. I had a friend who was a lot more hardworking than the others, so his boss fired all his coworkers and expected him to do all the work on his own after that... poor guy couldn't take it and quit a month later. Good luck getting a new job, I doubt it'll be easy :/
That's better than being told you're bad at your job
No one likes a know it all, especially on the first day. Even if you were correct, you played your hand poorly.
German problems ... Also, story time... Apparently back after the troubles in Hungary in 1956, Scandinavia took care of Hungarian refugees. And as gratefull as they were, they worked very hard to repay the kindness. Unfortunately this made all the other workers look bad, so the Hungarians were told to relax and take longer breaks and so on. The trueness of this might be questionable, but I think it's a cool story nevertheless. If you google "all work and no play satw" someone made a comic about it.
What was the name of the place? Sounds like Loserville Inc. ;)
Did you happen to work for Kruger Industrial Smoothing?
Oh my god it's spreading to the rest of the world. The end is near!!
I am a manager, and it is hard for me to understand what is wrong with these "bosses". I would never fire a great employee because the others feel threatened by their co-worker's lack of laziness.

Surely you can fix this though :D
Yay for people's insecurities! I had coworkers like that once, I ended up quitting.
