Today, I was forced to spend an extra $318 for another plane ticket to Dallas. The ticket wasn't for my daughter, my mom, or my sister, but for the quarter of my butt that apparently needs its own seat. FML

well you gotta feel sorry for the person who might have been sat next to you if you hadn't bought the ticket. They would only get 3/4 of a seat for their butt otherwise :P

So...you're fat. You didn't know you were large? If you take up more than one seat, you really can't expect to get to use that extra seat for free when another paying customer could have sat there if you weren't so large.

YDI for being a fatty. Just being honest.

YDI for letting yourself get that fat.

first off he doesn't specify whether or not he has a medical condition or not causing the weight problem. it's probably people like you guys who have cause enough psychological trauma to have caused the weight gain in the first place. god Is the only one who can judge this person. if he feels this man has divulged in to much gluttony than off to hell he goes. but who are any of you to tell him to loose weight or even worse just simply call him "fat ass" I'm sure he wasn't born 300lbs he probably was a chubby little kid and all the emotional abuse from assholes like you calling him fat ass at 10 years old more than likely caused an eating complex. people are cruel. how would any of you feel if that was you, or your mom. would you be sitting there saying "hey mom you disgusting Fat ass. loose weight your huge" or would you tell someone off for talking to her like that? you are all assholes. and as for the ******* bitch power ranger your ass may not be fat but your head is. get a life you ******* tool

uh oh! someone hasn't had their twinky today!

#117 i dont believe in god either actually, but that doesnt give me the right to judge anyone, especially not someone i dont even know. It doesnt give anyone the right. Thats one of the problems with the world today, people think they have the right to judge others. Maybe if you were like some amazing psychic and you could read minds then you would be able to judge, but unless you know what causes a persons every action (by knowing their thoughts and reasoning) who are you to say anything. Just because you wouldnt eat yourself into two seats, or eat unhealthy doesnt mean they wouldnt. People who judge are selfish ad ignorant for believing that other people should act and think as they believe is acceptable.

#128 no i havent had a twinkie today thank you very much. I dont eat them at all. I actually am on a diet, (even though i am in my healthy weight range) I would just like to tell you my story real quick. Got rheumatoid arthrtis had to take prednisone. I went from 103lbs to 205lbs in 3 months ok. I heard sh*t about it alllll dayyyyy and i was very into diets and exercise, but well, prednisone (i call it the devil in pill form) caused the weight gain. Dont worry though skipping out on the twinkies everyday, im back down to 145, and still going down. So yeah im a little sensitive to people who are rude to overweight people cuz you dont know what caused it. And even if it is caused by sheer over eating people have no right to talk sh*t. It is his perogitive if he wants to be fat, and i dont think its right to charge for an extra ticket because like someone else pointed out, that seat is still going to be filled by some other person. Its always the same with the a**holes in out society on abortions, gay marriage and obesiety. IF YOU DONT APPROVE DONT DO IT! period.

He should absolutely pay for an extra seat. The only way another person would be in the seat next to him would be if they were already over-booked. Airplanes are already crowded, and having to share some of your already tiny seat with somebody who is too big for their own is terrible. Also, it's not judgmental to tell Op to lose a bit of weight. It's really not healthy for him to be that big, and even if it isn't his fault, (though it likely is) there are medical procedures like lap-band surgery that can help him lose weight if he can't on his own.

I've struggled with weight issues due to a pain disorder too. In my case, I lost too much weight. It was miserable to force myself to eat enough to gain it back, but I did it. Extra weight gain [or loss] like that isn't healthy, even when caused by medications, and your doctors should've seen that as a red flag. Unless you tried every possible medication and only Prednisone worked, you should've been your own advocate and switched to a different medication sooner.

well, I used to be a fat ass too. key word being "used". got tired of it about 4 years ago, so I lost 80 lbs. and have kept it off. =)

well I would charge extra if I were them too, it's damn expensive to fly hippos anywhere, not only do you smell and make people shudder when they see you, but you also use more fuel than them.

ummmmm..... what about people who are disabled? I am disabled and find it almost impossible to maintain a normal body weight ( although I will say that I am just a little over weight and would never allow myself to get so big that I need two seats to sit down). I guess my point is that not everyone can work out or exercise like you, Mr. Power Ranger.

stop complaining and lose weight then.
