Today, I was hit by a car speeding through an intersection after the light had already turned red. Still partly blacked out, I crawled onto the sidewalk and I sat down. The woman rolled down her car window and yelled, "Watch where you're going!" as she drove by. FML

Hit and run is pretty hardcore illegal. I bet they can track her down and prosecute her. Geesh, people like her should be exiled so normal people don't have to deal with their jackassery.

This FML is bullshit. Nobody that was hit by a car is going to take time to put it on FML. You've just been hit by a CAR. Think about it. You would be in the hospital getting put back together. Not at home posting FMLs.

I'm not sure I believe this. As someone mentioned before, it would be pretty difficult for the OP to be hit, crawl to the sidewalk, and then have the driver be close enough to hear the statement she made. Second of all, depending on the speed, I think the injuries would be a little too severe to be on here, unless this happened a while ago. Third, also depending on the speed, the OP probably wouldn't have lived. At 40 mph, the chance of a pedestrian living is only 10%. If the driver was speeding, it probably would've been over 40mph, meaning the OP most likely would have died. http://www.stoppingdistances.org.uk/facts/speed.htm Just so people aren't asking for a source. And I'm also really tired of people saying that women shouldn't be driving and should get back in the kitchen. I've never been in an accident and never gotten a ticket, while several of my male friends have.

Well, it does sound as if you didn't do a very good job of watching where you were going, otherwise you might've noticed a speeding car that hadn't stopped. You should be more careful, even if she is a crook and a menace. File a police report and include any and all information you can give about the hit-and-run.
