... they are 16, 90% chance the did it in case you snooped. That being said, it is society. Lots of girls did it ... my English teacher last year did it and shared that information with us. She's been married for 2 years now and is in her mid 30s.
OP absolutely has a right to "snoop" through his daughters things. It's called being a concerned parent. Even if she did buy the laptop herself she is still living in his house and he most likely pays most if not all of the bills (rent/mortgage, food, healthcare, dental, clothing, transportation etc.) I hated it when my parents snooped through my things too but they were concerned and trying to make sure I wasn't up to things that would lead me down the wrong path. Any parent who isnt concerned enough to snoop isn't fit to be a parent. On the other hand at least she is fantasizing about fictional characters and not out banging everything that moves. Someone with that much of a fantasy life probably doesn't have much of a social life so no early grandbabies for OP.
Also OP I wouldnt freak out about it probably just a normal phase. If however she is still fantasizing about twighlight characters at 26 then I would worry about her lack of social skills. But for now it sounds like you have a pretty normal teenage daughter ( I know I put normal and teenager in the same sentence). Encourage her love of writing and don't freak out on her about this story. Hey it could have been alot worse you could have found used condoms and a script for the morning after pill, or an abortion clinic appointment. Just let her know you are always there for her and that she can talk to you about anything without you freaking out on her. If she knows she can always come to you she is alot less likely to get bad advice from somewhere else.
She is a teenage girl, hormones are raging, it happens. At least its about fictional characters and you know she can be creative.
This is what Twilight does to people!? Thanks Stephenie Meyers!
**** u bitch
im sorry but your a terrible father, she is 16 shes going through a lot and they are FICTIONAL so what if she writes a FICTIONAL sexual fantasy about them, at least shes not out acting on it with random guys. the fact that you found a sexual story written by your 16 year old daughter and READ THE WHOLE thing makes YOU the freak, that's just wrong. how you could possibly think its ok to read the things she was describing about her self in a sexual way is just nasty. you might as well consider yourself a peeping tom.
I can understand that you want to check your daughter's safety on the net, that's what responsible parents do, but read her private files... You definitively deserve it. You had no reasons to invade her privacy, I'm sure you had fantasizes too when you were the same age as her. Don't forget you were a teen. And call your own daughter a freak... what a shame. She grew up and now is a normal teenager. She just writes a fanfiction, she doesn't sleep around or have a drugs addiction. So you can look at her in the eyes, when you were 16 you certainly did things worse than just write to express your sexuality. (Excuse my english).
Well she's is what a real creeper is
