Sounds fairly normal to me. with the way some teenage girls squeal and how interested they are in the books, and boys, it shouldn't be surprising. in fact, be happy she's doing something productive with her fantasies, she'll likely grow up a bit and start writing some solid publishable work...

That is a little harsh isn't it? I mean you probably did much worse when you were 16 but you call her a freak? What a douche. She is a teenage girl for crying out loud give her a break. At least she isn't going out and sleeping around. If she has a talent for writing it should be encouraged not mocked.
