The Army can give you a free degree, gets your body into shape, and you're protecting you're country so they can judge you. Yes totally a last resort because I wouldn't want help going to college, I wouldn't want to defend our country. Som people are ignorant.

How is being in the Army or any form of military EVER something to be looked down on ? People in the military work their asses off protecting rights and freedoms that most Americans take for granted and never think twice about . That teacher sounds like just as muc an ignorant bitch as this one does . On another hand, thank you for serving our country ! Its something not everyone would be willing or able to do, and it can be difficult, you and anyone else who serves their country (with the exception of terrorists . . .) has my respect .

#77 - No, I didn't say all of you. I'm aware that most of you actually respect the job the Army is doing for your country. I said "too many of you Americans", i.e. a large amount of people, but not all. I don't like to generalise, so I hope I cleared that up.

That's a load of shit! My dad is in the military. He works in Intel, so he's pretty damn smart. I'd love to see whoever puts down the military fighting on the front lines. See how long you last, then. It's a really touchy subject. I almost lost my father over this.

Just throwing this out there, I'm a high school teacher and I make $72k a year. To me, salary is not really the issue here, op's blatant disrespect for fellow human beings is the issue. To reduce it to a totem pole of who makes more money further negates a janitors true worth in their environment.
