Today, I went on a fabulous date with a really cute, smart, funny guy. He only mentioned his dad, so when I asked about his mom, I asked if they were divorced. She'd died of breast cancer so I felt awful. Then I asked if his dad had ever remarried. His stepmom had died of cancer too. FML

Today, I went on a blind date, even though the whole concept freaks me out a bit. My date showed up with his sister, who sat at our table and critiqued everything we did, from how I chewed my food, to the way we nervously laughed. He hardly said a word the whole time. FML

It is actually possible to have identical twins of different gender. EXTREMELY rare, but still possible!

Spike300 - True, but if OP was aware of this rare scenario, she would also be aware that it would be a highly inappropriate question to ask of the twin brother, especially early on in dating. I would bet that OP would rather like to come off as a forgetful of logic when swooning over a handsome gentleman. That's actually quite a compliment to him, in my opinion.

Haha, No males and females can't be identical twins I know all about twins cause I am one! Identical twins are when an egg splits into two cells and develop into two separate people so their DNA is the same so they can't be two different genders, fraternal twins is when two separate eggs with different DNA develop at the same time so technically fraternal twins are no more alike than normal siblings and identical twins have the same DNA, now you know :)

People, it's absolutely positively impossible for there to be a boy and a girl to be identical twins. They're not identical when their downstairs are different.

It actually wasn't a bad question because some sets of twins aren't identical. Two of my friends are twins and they look nothing alike.

ones a boy and the other was a girl, so it is a bad question, or to her it is... i mean if you had a twin of the opposite sex would you like to be asked if you were identical?
