Today, I was out with my girlfriend at a club. As a slow dance began, a guy approached and asked, "May I cut in?" My girlfriend surprised me by saying, "Sure!" As I was about to protest, the guy cut me off and said, "Sorry miss, I was asking him." FML

Today, I was at a party. The music changed to a slow dance. Everybody grabbed a partner and I was left on the dancefloor alone. Suddenly, this guy walked up to me. I swore that he was going to ask me to dance. He then said, "Could you hold me my drink?" and went to dance with another girl. FML

I'm not sure OP is a guy. Let's say OP is a woman dancing with her girlfriend at a gay club. Guy asks to cut in. GF says ok. OP starts to object, but guy says he wanted to dance with "him" , meaning the GF. OP's GF may look a bit Butch. Also, in a straight club, maybe OP is a feminine looking guy with a butch looking GF.
