Today, I was putting my horse away into her pasture, when I slipped in the mud. In a haisty attempt to support myself, I grabbed the electric fence in on hand, and my horse with the other. The shock from the fence traveled through me to her, sending her running and leaving me with 2 broken teeth. FML

Today, while letting horses out to switch pasture, one ran at me, sending me through the electric fence and into a mud puddle. Wrapped in electric fence, I sat in that electric mud puddle, screaming every time it shocked me. Help arrived, once they'd had a good long laugh. FML

Today, while riding a massive draft horse, the horse thought it would be fun to walk under a very low apple tree that sat level with his back. A branch hit me and made me fall off onto a coil of barbed wire, twisting my ankle in the process. FML

Today, I was riding a new horse when a lawnmower starting up spooked her. She jumped straight up in the air and I landed directly on the saddle horn. I can't walk or feel anything between my legs. FML

Today, I was riding my bike to the local grocery store to pick up some supplies for dinner. On the way down, traveling down a hill, I hit a drain with no lid. I went to grab hold of the nearest object to soften my fall. That nearest object was a barbed wire fence. FML

Today, my dogs broke through our electric fence, one of whom managed to get his collar off. I picked it up and, without thinking, went across the fence line. I screamed like a chihuahua being run over by a bulldozer. FML

Today, I was sitting on a fence watching a friend play soccer. He accidentally kicked the ball at my face and made me fall off the fence into mud. I laughed it off and got back on the fence. Two seconds later he did the same exact thing. I fell wrong and slammed my face into the fence. Pain. FML

Today, my idiot horse decided to grab a mouthful of stinging nettles while I was riding him. He panicked at the burning sensation in his mouth and bucked me off. Don't worry, though, my fall was cushioned, by the nettles. FML

I've done that before (minus the broken teeth). And anybody who is ignorant enough to think that electric fences are cruel, think again. They prevent the horses from ploughing through the wooden fence which often causes serious and sometimes fatal damage. The electric fence is only a small shock (like a static shock) and they rarely touch it. It protects them from serious injury. Accidents happen people, chill out.

BULLLL SHIIIIIIITTt this one is fake, the electricity wants the fastest route out of your body, you would not shock the horse at all, it would go through your arm down your torso and out you leg, there is no way that this story is true

dude, did you ever take middle school science class? you're both wrong and right; sure, it'll go to the ground, but it also shocks a person or animal if you're touching them, because it passes through them too. i've done a lab experiment a load of times where you hold peoples hands in a big circle, and the one at the beginning gets shocked, and it passes to the end.

Um electricity will travel through one body to another... that's how it works, do the research. I used to grab my brother then the electric fence all the time, i would get no shock but he would.. it was funny.
