Today, I was snuggling with my neighbors four week old kitten while babysitting their kids. I fell asleep, rolled over, and woke up next to a dead kitten. FML

I sincerely hope that this is a fake : That's just completely terrible :(

That's just enormous amount of pure fail. You fall asleep while you should be looking after their kids AND you kill their kitten. I hope you don't do this regularly.

#154 - Sometimes you correspond regularly with the vet that you take your existing pets to, and they tell you how to take care of the kitten, taking the burden off of the already busy vet, keeping the animal out of the hands of overworked and underfunded animal shelters, and leaving you with a strong bond with a loving pet that will be with you for 10+ years.

this is so sad = ( i would say FIL, but the kitten is dead. = /

dont feel guilty, I understand. I raise orhpaned wild animals and rehabilitate them to the wild. And I had this Robin baby, and it was obsessed with me, it WOULD NOT stop screaming when i let go of it. i had tried everything, no matter where i put it, it would hop back onto me..I tried a cage but it just rammed itself against the bars and was hurting its self. It was 4 am, still...it wouldnt shutup and was keeping my family up. So I held it in my hands "for a minute" I blinked...turns out I fell asleep...I open my eyes and see a squished dead bird beside my head. I felt so bad, I still feel HORRIBLE. I have nightmares about rolling over babies and waking up besides their dead bodies all the time now. Anyway, point being, it was a mistake, not your fault. definitely an FML

That was awful. Not even something I would want to read. It makes me feel absolutely horrible even thinking about that.

If you feel bad about the kitten you should watch this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5-d3rZZ-_M&NR=1

For the OP: sorry that this happened for you, I'm sure it felt terrible, but like 130 and 131 commented, don't take other people posting here seriously. For everyone calling the OP a murderer and sick, etc. - accidents happen to most human beings, and if you pulled your self-righteous heads out from your asses for a moment and stopped trying to e-bully someone into *hanging* or *hurting* themselves, which just escalate this ridiculously (seriously, it looks badly on YOU, not the OP), you could maybe see a situation where random and upsetting things that aren't directly your fault have occurred in your lives - they may not have involved an animal, but it's clearly an accident on the OP's part, and I'm sure they already feel terrible about it and have learned that little creatures should probably not be cuddled with when you're drowsy for the sake of their safety... Sorry OP.

When I was 8 or 9 I was sleeping on the couch in the living room and one of our kittens climbed up my blanket and I woke up and it was dying. I didn't know what was happening and my mom said it got sick but a few years later I realized that she had lied and that it was my fault :( I still feel bad for the poor kitty.

That's awful. And yes, kittens should not be taken from their mother or adopted until they are about seven weeks old. I have no idea what that family was thinking when they adopted that kitten...

What the heck? Why would you put this on here! You should feel bad enough about what you did, you're going to post it for millions to see so we feel shitty just like you? That's so awful. WHY did you fall asleep babysitting? You're getting paid. Even if the kids are asleep, you should be awake. This is so awful. YDI, number 76, how could anyone NOT say the OP deserved it? Really. #107, yeah I do that and 39, i definitely agree. Awful.
