it says it on the side of the box. I use our all the time. the burp is the reaction to neutralizing the acid. heartburn gone. the problem was your ability to control your esophagus
acid reflux is different from heart burn acid reflux is when acid from your stomach is coming into you throat and sometimes into your mouth.
for a heads up next time that ever happens use mylanta it just always taste the best but its like a miracle when its working. i would know since i almost take it daily for my gastritis. good luck OP
It should've helped, it's possibly a different issue with the vomit and everything but I'm pretty sure you're supposed to wait a bit before drinking the water with baking soda.
Trust, but verify.
next time just drink a cup of water with a pinch of salt and a teaspoon of sugar and that will cure anything from heart burn to a hangover, have u never done the volcano experience baling soda will make almost anything erupt, Google is your friend, use it and verify before you just believe anything.
Chewing gum will make it worse. See a doctor and get Nexiam. Treat it early else you'll end up with barrets esophagus
Soda should work fine, I know dozens of people who take it for acid reflux, if in your case it does not work, it may be a sign that the acid or acid like symptoms are not simple reflux, go see a doctor. (soda is a base, it should neutralize gastric acid, simple chemistry)
I use this method all the time with no problems. How much baking soda did you use?
tums or nexium. milk kills is instantly
I think my great aunt used this on my mum when she was a kid. It either settled their tummy or made them spew whatever it was unsettling their tummy. I'll have to find out if it was baking soda or not.

Baking soda helps reflux quite well. If it didn't, it could be something else that causes similar symptoms, like gall stones or esophagitis. If the symptoms continue, rather than self-medicating or taking advice from "someone" (including me), go see a doctor.
damn I feel for you. I have a huge fear of vomiting so that is like my worst nightmare.
