Today, I was teaching my daughter how to ride a bike with no training wheels. After comforting her and assuring her that she'd be fine, I gave her a big push. She fell forward over the handlebars and scraped her chin on the front wheel. FML

Dear god, don't worry OP! It was an accident and you both learned from it, don't worry! I'm sure you haven't scarred her! (:

Eh, learning how to ride a bike with no training wheels, you're GOING to fall at least once, even if OP had jogged alongside the bike. Maybe pushing wasn't the best idea, but now you know.

Everybody falls once or twice. It's how you learn. Riding a bike is like life. Sometimes you fall. You just gotta pick yourself up again

Yeah well I've been through worse on a bike (near death) so i think your little girl will be just fine.

I was going to make a joke about bikes er something but I'm just two-tired.

Today, my mom was teaching me how to ride a bike with no training wheels. After comforting me and assuring me that i'd be fine, She gave me a big push. I fell forward over the handlebars and scraped my chin on the front wheel. FML

Haha. I could only imagine watching this!!

lol. when my dad taught me and gave me a push, I fell into a bush. xD

Well, this happens when a kid is learning to ride! Just keep reassuring her as you did and tell her she's a tough guy. Her chin will heal up in no time.

I'm fairly certain your suppose to be the training wheels while she learns to really balance by at least just running behind her while slightly hanging on to the seat for just a little bit!! See...that's what's wrong with our society. Parents just push their kids out to fend for themselves when you are suppose to remain their safety net for a little while! On the flip side of what you probably heard from your wife...this sounds like something my husband would do. Probably why my daughter refused to learn how to ride a bike until she was 9 and her 11 year old brother could teach her! LOL

It could have been worse she could have cracked her skull open like I did when I was learning to ride my bike
