Today, I was tending the cash register. I scanned a lady's items which totaled $89.68. She paid with a $100 bill. I gave her $11.32 change. She angrily gave back the extra dollar and complained about "schools nowadays". I'm an AP Calculus student. FML

wait huh she got mad cuz you gave her an extra dollar by mistake :-/

Doesn't the cash register tell you how much change to give? You may want to reconsider your major if reading 4 (four) numbers on a screen is confusing.

So much hate on this board...senseless competition...I hope you all feel better about yourselves! Dehumanizing repetitive labor leads to neuronal atrophy...I suggest you quit your job.

Don't most cash registers tell you exactly how much change to give back? The one I work on does. I also try to do the math in my head but I always check myself. But I'll admit it's an easy mistake to make. Be glad she didn't keep the dollar =)

So no one can make mistakes? Everybody think they would NEVER do the same mistake at all???? Good, didn't think so too....

ya, I'm going to go ahead and call bullshit...

today a lady gave me back money that I gave her in error. she saved me from possibly getting in trouble. man fml. geesh. what a fml.

what is this for ghetto business!? just let the register calculate the change if its too hard for you.

Well you are a dumb ap calculus student

FYL for having shitty customers. Anyone who's worked in customer service understands this feeling all too well. We all screw up basic arithmetic no matter what we're good at. Don't feel bad, she's the weird one for getting all pissy over one ******* dollar.
