Today, I was told that I may die by the time I'm 30, and that I should Google the disorder because he doesn't know what it is for sure. FML

I wish I could get paid six figures a year to tell people to google their own conditions. Geez...

What's up with all the FML's lately having pronouns that don't link to another noun?

well if you are a girl once a day for a couple of years isnt all that good because you can become "loose" if your a guy then thats not healthy

sorry to hear that. See another doc and get urself treated before it's too late.

You probably wont die before 30. I'm a Nurse Practitioner, which means I'm trained as a doctor without the title. All I really can tell you, is go to another doctor. There are people out there that have to go to SEVERAL doctors to get a diagnosis because there are so many links to the human bodily functions that doctors have to team up. There's always new diseases and disorders that are being researched. It took almost 3 years when I was kid to find out that I had Ménière's disease. I had to go to so many doctors. Even when they found out I had a sleeping disorder, it took 3 doctors. Your doctor sounds like he was playing stupid with you. I know of some doctors that do that. I'm only a few provinces over in Alberta.

I'm a cabana boy at a swimming pool which means that I'm trained as a United States Supreme Court Justice but without the title, and in my opinion you should go with a Physician's Assistant because their diagnostic skills are unsurpassed.

Actually, I am! Every professor I had said that is what a nurse practitioner is. We have the same training. We take extra courses to get there. I've been doing this for 11 years, I have had to deliver a baby before. Honestly, don't try to tell a professional what they aren't. Look it up. My brother is a doctor, and we got the EXACT same training. They send Nurse Practitioners to war places, because they act like doctors, they do the same thing doctors do. My mom is an RN, My dad is an OBGYN. My brother-in-law is a surgeon. Tell me something I don't know about doctors. I grew up with this, it's embedded in my head like screws.

I shudder to think of the "training" doctors are getting in AB if it's the same as an NP. You are NOT the same as a doctor, despite your delusions. Sure you delivered a baby, but when the shit hits the fan, you don't have the same depth of knowledge an MD does. Stop being so ignorant, you're making all other (awesome) nurses look bad.

If you had the exact same training as a doctor, then why the hell don't you have an MD? If it's the same training you should have your MD. I'm sorry but there's no way you can have the same training as a doctor with 2 years less of schooling. I'm sure you know a helluva lot, but you don't know as much as a doctor. Thank God you're not in my country because I'd be concerned going to a clinic and having someone as idiotic as you treating me.
