Today, I was walking on the boardwalk with my mom when an old man came up and asked me to marry him. He promised he would buy me a Mercedes if I did. The man was homeless and delusional. My mom told me I should take the offer because it would be the best offer I could get. FML

Today, I was on a scavenger hunt. One of the things on the list was to ask a stranger to marry them. I saw an old lady in a wheel chair; I tried to make her day by asking her to marry me. She declined and attempted to run me over with her wheel chair. FML

Today, as I was walking towards my friends at the bus stop, a man came up to me and asked me out. This was the first time I'd be asked out in months. I accepted. When I reached my friends they looked at me then asked, "Why were you talking to that homeless guy?". FML

Today my dad asked if he could walk me down the aisle at my wedding. I was just too speechless to respond. He asked me on my doorstep, at 2 a.m., which was also our first ever meeting since he abandoned my mom when she was 5 months pregnant with me, and just disappeared for 28 years. FML

Today, as I was riding my bike home from school, I saw a homeless man sitting on a bench. I was about to walk up to him and give him money, but before I could do anything my mother walked up and kissed him. My mom is dating this guy. FML

Today, while at the supermarket, a complete stranger ran up to me, got down on his knee and confessed his love for me. He was obviously mentally unstable, so I gently declined. He started crying very loudly in front of everyone. I still don't have a clue who he was. FML

Today, my boyfriend proposed with the perfect ring, restaurant, flowers, and champagne. He’s never been this well prepared for anything in his life, so he admitted that my mother planned the whole thing and forced him to propose, even though neither of us want to get married. A lot of disrespectful people here. Sad really. For the poster: I hate parents. So few parents are truly good to their children. In my opinion you should never have children unless you truly want them and can give them the love and support they need. Learn from the mistakes of your parents and don't just learn them.

Agreed 37. There wouldn't be "struggling families with kids" if they realized they may not be fit parents. I know from experience that divorce and parents working all day really hurts kids.

You should have done it. Who says that it wouldn't have been like some kind of wish on an inheritance? Like in that one movie...I forget what it's called, the guy had to get married on his birthday and get a 100 million dollars of his grandfathers company or something? Any help as to what that movie was? - Even if it wasn't like that..who says you have to have a home or be rich to be happy? Nobody.

So what if he's homeless? Homeless people get rich at some points. I know a story of this homeless guy having an amazing radio voice and got a lot richer afterwards.
