A beer or a glass of wine once or twice a week is fine even while pregnant. Now if she was doing keg stands and shotgunning beers if be concerned.
Eh, good news, you're alright despite it? Perhaps it was only one drink. My mother was a heavy alcoholic and I barely got by with a "milder" case of cerebral palsy. It happens. If I can suck it up and limp onward, so can you. Really though, I understand and sympathize. If only more pregnant women understood just how delicate developing fetuses really are, perhaps less people would suffer because of selfish and unfit mothers-to-be. Ah, sorry, that was a bit too serious for this site, perhaps a "LOL YDI ROFL I'M SO AWESOME 'N FUNNYYYYY" is more fitting.
I second number 2.. maybe it wasn't hers.. why is that comment voted so low? and did you actually SEE her drink it? eh? EH?!
daaaaaaaammnn ! HAHAHAA i wonder how you turned out :O
Seriously how did the OP deserve this? They weren't even born yet! I really don't know why some people click the "ydi" button...
most doctors will tell pregnant women it's ok to have a glass of beer or wine throughout pregnancy as long as you're not drinking spirit or liquors and the drinking isn't heavy or regular drinking (((and as long as there aren't any complications with the pregnancy already))) also some doctors will even suggest a glass or two of wine or beer if you are overdue to give birth to help you relax and maybe get things moving
I have never heard of any doctor saying this. As someone who has taken classes in both pharmacology and sexual psychology... I can say with confidence that alcohol is a teratogen, meaning it causes serious physical defects in unborn children. It also causes severe mental problems. Even one drink of alcohol during pregnancy can affect fetal growth and development... NO doctor should be encouraging this. I live in an area where fetal alcohol syndrome and fetal alcohol effects are prominent... And it's not always the alcoholics that have children with abnormalities.
