By and she doesn't even give bjs - 09/02/2013 00:44 - Argentina - Buenos Aires

Today, I watched The Passion of the Christ with my girlfriend. She kept scoffing at what she called the "historical inaccuracies", and actually tried to convince me that Hitler killed Jesus. When I corrected her, she looked at me, mouth agape, as if I was insane. FML

Not sure whether she's really that dumb or whether you didn't realise that she was sarcastic...

so you are saying that she doesn't use her brain and her mouth?

Well it's a fictional movie based off a fictional book so adding Hitler might spice it up.

Your girlfriend is a moron breakup with her ASAP

To be fair, everyone has a gap in their knowledge. So blatant obvious thing they never learned that everyone else seems to know. Doesn't mean they're dumb. It just means they were never taught to know better because they never had to be in that situation before, or at least rely on knowing it. Like my brother for example. He didn't know the 12 months of the year until he was 18. He had to ask me what month came after January. I in no way find him to be an idiot for not knowing that, although it was pretty funny to rub it in his face, he just never had a reason to know and had a knowledge gap.

...a reason to know the 12 months? i don't quiet get how that's possible.

not knowing the 12 months, as well as not knowing that Hitler and Jesus existed 2000 years apart, isn't a knowledge gap, as you call it. it's terrible, horrifying ignorance. knowledge gap is, for example, not knowing what photosynthesis is. it's bad too, but not completely unforgivable.

Yeah, umm I'm pretty sure that the months of the year are taught in kindergarten and reinforced throughout your ENTIRE academic career; by having to right your name and DATE on every piece of school work you do.

@76: It's more of the fact that OP's GF: a.) Believes in a fictional character. b.) Believes that real person killed said character, despite said person not being alive at the supposed time the character was around.

87, Sherlock Holmes once said that people tend to fill their minds with useless garbage that has no impact on their lives. Knowing who killed jesus is useless and is not important. Abandoning your girlfriend just because of something this insignificant is very stupid. Knowledge is not important. Personal qualities and character are important. Gaps in knowledge can be filled, character won't ever change. ---- "I consider that a man's brain originally is like a little empty attic, and you have to stock it with such furniture as you choose. A fool takes in all the lumber of every sort that he comes across, so that the knowledge which might be useful to him gets crowded out, or at best is jumbled up with a lot of other things so that he has a difficulty in laying his hands upon it. Now the skilful workman is very careful indeed as to what he takes into his brain-attic. He will have nothing but the tools which may help him in doing his work, but of these he has a large assortment, and all in the most perfect order. It is a mistake to think that that little room has elastic walls and can distend to any extent. Depend upon it there comes a time when for every addition of knowledge you forget something that you knew before. It is of the highest importance, therefore, not to have useless facts elbowing out the useful ones." ----

maybe knowledge isn't important to you. it doesn't mean you can tell people what qualities they should and shouldn't value in others.

143, I have my opinion, and I *will* voice it as long as I feel like it. If you'll ask every person that disagrees with you to shut up, then you'll never learn anything new anyway. Unless you have "walking encyclopedia" fetish or are strongly attracted to historians, scientists or mathematicians, I don't see why the heck would you complain about your girlfriend having minor gaps in knowledge. There are other places to satisfy mental hunger - join discussion club or become a scientist. OR are you, perhaps, looking for a perfect woman? In this case good luck with that - unless you are incredibly lucky and fit "perfect boyfriend" description yourself, most likely you'll die alone without ever finding her.

166, thinking this way is arrogance. Using same logic I could call you a retard if you failed to name all major greek gods and philosophers, famous european composers or recite pi to 10th decimal digit.

That's not a date movie. Are you even trying to get laid?
