Today, I went downtown to pay my speeding ticket. After standing in line and arguing with a rude woman behind the desk, I get back to my car only to find an expired meter and a parking ticket. I got a ticket while paying my ticket. FML

Today, I got a speeding ticket. I wrote a check, and on the way to deposit my fine, I got another one. I put both fines in a box down town, and I turned around to see a cop putting a parking ticket under my wind-shield wiper. FML

Today, I wasn't sure whether it was past the time when they stopped giving out parking tickets. I checked the meters on either side of my car, and both were expired, so I figured I was good. I came back out to all three of us having tickets. FML

Today, I parked my car, went to pay for my spot, and returned to my car only to find a parking violation ticket tucked under the windshield wipers. This all happened in less than a minute. FML

Today, while at an important meeting at work, I got to watch helplessly as a police officer gave me a parking meter ticket. Added to that my boss chewed me out for "never paying attention and staring out the window during meetings". FML

Today, I got a $60 parking ticket for not paying the $2.50 pay-to-park fee. I checked my bank records, which proved that I'd paid the fee, for the correct space too. The problem is the fine is too small to contest in traffic court. FML

um #10, that doesn't make any sense. They went to pay a SPEEDING ticket. They parked fine, but because he/she talked to this woman so long, his meter expired. How does OP deserve it? OP, that blows.

Why was he speeding in the first place? he deserves every ticket he gets since he is not following the rules. Where I live, we have pay by phone on all our parking meters which helps.

I hate parking meters and parking tickets. I get one a week on average, and it adds up to a lot. You can pay them online in most cities though. Just do that, then next time you won't risk getting another ticket when you go to pay it.

Sucks. You should put a bit more money in the meter next time...you pretty much need a 2-hour buffer to handle business at the DMV or any government establishment for that matter. Knowing the government you might just want to clear out your plans for the entire day.

You should know not to bother arguing with the people behind the desk. If they weren't jerks, they wouldn't be working in a parking ticket office. Same goes for towing companies.
