Today, I went for a jog. I had stopped at an intersection to let a car go by. The car stopped and the driver waved me on, so I started jogging again. After a few steps, I feel a sharp pain in my side, then wake up in the hospital. The driver 'accidentally' hit the gas. FML

To all, thanks for your concern. Don't worry, I'm fine, it was just a bad concussion when I hit the ground that knocked me out. I hope I don't disappoint anybody, but I am not going to sue. A few years in jail ought to be enough for the driver- it was a drunk. Luckily, there was a black and white across the street and got the driver in time. Again, thank you all for your concerns.

People on this website are so lawsuit crazed, when they obviously know nothing about law. Unless there is very serious damage, the price to sue the person would dwarf any settlement you could possibly get.

#45 - I don't actually think they're going to sue. Lawsuits are long and tedious processes, and as long as the injuries are minimal, then it's not worth the trouble. The lawsuits jokes are pretty much just that - jokes.

Seems fake to me. If a car is a complete stop and you are right in front of them, there's no way it could have time to speed up enough to know you out.

at least you're alive. why does everyone scream "sue" on so many FMLs? it's so unnecessary. people these days don't seem to register that accidents happen. I feel bad for you, but I love that you're paranoid enough to put 'accidentally' in quotation marks :)
