Today, I went into a music store to look into getting a new guitar. I picked up one that I was interested in and tried it out quietly. A sales representative approached me and asked me to "stop the noise and leave the guitars for serious customers." I've been playing for almost ten years. FML

Maybe he thought that all you were gonna do was just play with them and not actually buy anything? Haha always gotta think on the bright side.

this is kind of an unlikely situation since many guitar salesman work on commission, so why would they even say that? doesn't make any sense to drive away a potential customer.

so I've been playing piano for almost 8 years

Didn't mean to post that here :P

OP dont mind the saleswoman/man just go back buy it or play it even louder. Maybe a song that will make them see that you're actually good or decent at it.

you must be horrible you should stop trying and find something you are actualy good at!

You should have just shouted at them saying you were going to buy 15 as props for a show you are doing, and that you will take your business elsewhere.

i feel bad for you. besides, playing the instrument is only half the battle, you also have to learn how to solo and learn keys and other important music theory concepts
