A few years ago, I walked into a local music store to buy a pack of strings, and asked SPECIFICALLY for an extra 3rd string because I seem to break a lot of those. The guy's response? "You go through a lot of G strings, huh?" I walked out and now purchase everything online. My point? Music store reps are morons.
you sound like an uptight bitch. it was just a joke. in the words of my friends across the pond, getcha knickas out of a bunch"
In all honesty it might not have even been a joke. The third string IS the G string, even if that name has other meanings. =/
don't buy it from them, simple. you don't have to stand up to that kind of attitude as a customer.
time to find a new music store... or a new teacher. fyl
Maybe you suck and don't realize it. I'vr been playing for a year and a half and I'm a pretty good player. Either you suck or you play really easy songs that are 4 chords repetivly.

ouch. time to switch to the triangle.
Maybe he thought that all you were gonna do was just play with them and not actually buy anything? Haha always gotta think on the bright side.
