Today, I went into labor and got my husband drive me to the hospital. Instead of staying by my side, he rushed back home for a World of Warcraft raid. His excuse? His friends were counting on him and they'd be pissed if he let them down. FML

#29, my brother is a chartered financial analyst. To get that full title, one must pass three extremely difficult full-day tests, each offered only once a year. My brother was taking the second one when his wife went into labor; he immediately left to meet her at the hospital. That it would take another year to get to take that test again, and thus an additional year before he could take the third, didn't matter a whit to him. He was there for his wife and the birth of their child.

Just refuse to do anything for him from now on like cooking or washing and get your mum to stay indefinitely to help you out until he sorts his act out. I don't know many men who could live with their mother in law for too long.

I was due to join a raid that had been planned, 1 person didnt believe I was in labor and voted to kick me out of the group for every other raid planned, the rest said that is harsh and doesnt sound like a fake excuse, so I asked for the dickwads email address and got hubby to email him a pic of me in the hospital with the new baby afterwards. Said player got kicked out :p
