There is probably more to it. That was probably her way to say "thanks for the meal, but not interested". And this is precisely why I try to teach men to never go for the nice/expensive dinner too fast! Always keep the first few dates cheap n simple. If the chemistry is there, things take off. If not, no love and little cash lost. General rule: First date should never be more than $40. As I said, she could have said it to get the food n run and not be married, but in my dating experience lately myself, I get the ones offering ******** for nice dinners, or more for a cash exchange far more than someone to go out and get to know the right way. It's making me pretty f-ing jaded.
