Today, a coworker invited me out for a date, totally out of the blue. I had no idea she liked me, but I did my best to impress. She ordered the most expensive steak on the menu, two bottles of wine, and eventually picked up and went home with our waiter. I got the bill. FML

Today, I was out on a dinner date when suddenly a girl walks up to us and says to my date, "Girl, you can do so much better." Hearing this, my date looks at me, nods, gets up and walks off. I still had to pay for everything. FML

Today, I had a date with a girl I've liked for a while. We went out to a nice Italian restaurant for dinner. I was obviously going to pay, but when the bill came I realized I'd forgotten my wallet. When I told her, she thought I was a cheap liar and now she won't answer my calls. FML

No sympathy for this one my friend. In this day and age you should know better than to play big spender on the first date. Go for Starbucks and see if round two is in the cards, then break out the plastic if and when she shows. Still, low class ho"s like that play us like a cheap fiddle: string you along until a newer, shinier model catches her eye, then she'll take your bow and leave you holding the rosin! (figuratively speaking) If you took any "selfies" maybe forward one along with a professional sounding note, complete with a bill for the evenings services and message on how much you enjoyed helping her to file the divorce papers and the sooner the better if she wants to take her husband for everything he owes. ?

Hey who said that's why a woman is with you all the time im fine getting steak and shake and chilling at home watching movies. Its nice to once and a while splurge on the big dinners but for me not seeing my husband all the time makes me value just being with him. Not all women are bitches and it is normal for the first date to be paid for just keep it cheap

But not everywhere. Where i live (not in the US) its normal to split the bill. I would never pay the whole bill for a date either and would be seriously surprised if my date would silently assume that that is the case.
