Today, I went on a job interview. The interviewer said it all went well, but he can't hire me because I've got a nose piercing, and that type of "image" isn't the kind they're looking for in their employees. This is the guy who had a full sleeve tattoo. FML

a long-sleeved shirt and his tattoo is gone. a facial piercing, even removed, is usually pretty obvious. It's something you should have expected when you got the piercing; it will make you unacceptable for some jobs. Tattoos make some military branches off-limits, too. It's no surprise, so YDI.

I think for any interview, unless it's for a piercing shop, you should always take your piercings out or at least put on a retainer until you know their policy. Tattoos are permanent but piercings not so much.

Sure it sucks but you should have know better. You were the one who had to look good, you failed and that's it.

Pretty bad since a piercing is easier to conceal versus a tattoo especially a full sleeve.

A tattoo can be covered with makeup. A nose piercing is a HOLE in your FACE.

when i take my nose stud out, unless someone is standing very close to my face, they cant see it. its a very tiny hole that can be mistaken for a blackhead.

It also depends what type of piercing it was, if it was some big honking thing I'd have said the same thing.

why wouldnt you take it out before the interview, retard

YDI because nose piercings are far more disgusting and stomacht churning to people than tattoos are.

That's a personal opinion not a fact. I personally like both tattoos and piercings and I know people who hate tattoos and love piercings. Don't try and make your own personal opinion into a fact because it's not going to work
