Today, I went to a pet store to adopt a dog. I got a medium sized lab, a dog crate, and a few toys, then put his crate in the back of my truck and the dog in his crate. On the way home I realized I forgot dog bowls and some dog food. I went back, and when I got back out to my truck, my dog was gone. My stereo too. FML

Today, I went to the local pet store to purchase a large dog bed so my dog wouldn't sleep in mine. After I got home and set up her bed, I realized I forgot to buy dog treats. When I came home again, her new bed was torn to shreds, and she was still sleeping on my bed. FML

Today, I adopted a dog from the local shelter. I put the dog in the car and he was shedding everywhere, but I was ok with that because he was my dog. As I pulled into the parking lot, the dog began to poop in the backseat of my car. When I got him out of the car, he ran off. $100 for him to poop and run away. FML

Today, I finally decided to get a dog. I have always been wanting to get one ever since I was a child. I bought a $1,400 Golden Retriever. I went out for lunch a few hours later with a friend, so I left my dog in the backyard. I came back home to a broken fence and no dog. FML

Today, I left my dog in my car for 5 minutes while I ran into a store. The car was running so he was fine, the thing that wasn't so fine is that when I walked out my car wasn't there. My dog somehow moved my car into the middle of a intersection, almost causing an accident. FML

Today, our chocolate Labrador ran away. My dad adopted it because he really wanted a hunting dog, promising he'd be in charge of its training and feeding. I ended up getting saddled with that instead. The dog was so hyper it was untrainable, and dad blamed me when it burst out of its kennel and bolted into the night. FML

Today, I got home only to discover my dog was missing. After spending ages roaming the freezing streets calling his name, I returned to find him stuck behind the couch with my chewed-up new shoes in his muzzle. FML

All of the animals you get from my local pet store our shelter animals. The shelters display their animals there during store hours, and you pick up your animal at the pet store if thats where you filled out the application. It saves people from having to drive an hour or more to the shelter the pet is housed at, and gives people who normally wouldn't go to those shelters (or perhaps any) a chance to see the pets. Each pet has a note on the front of its window describing it and telling which shelter you have to apply for the adoption through

Well, labs generally aren't that protective and he/she really didn't know you long enough to know he/she belonged to you. Next time, crank the window down a few inches for the dog to get air and lock the doors. Good luck with the police and I hope you get your dog back.

Is anyone else slightly annoyed with how unnecessarily often he used the word "dog"? Anyways, FYL, and guys he was just running running in to get some food. It's understandable that he didn't bring the dog in with him.
