Today, I went to a pet store to adopt a dog. I got a medium sized lab, a dog crate, and a few toys, then put his crate in the back of my truck and the dog in his crate. On the way home I realized I forgot dog bowls and some dog food. I went back, and when I got back out to my truck, my dog was gone. My stereo too. FML

I love how everyone jumps on the OP about getting a pet from the pet store. I don't know about you all but our local pet store has ADOPTION days where local rescues bring in dogs so people can adoption them. I really hope this is the case with the OP. Our local pet store also always has cats/kittens from another rescue for adoption. Most quality pet stores don't deal with BYB anymore. To the OP sorry some jerk stole your new friend and your stereo.

Wtf is wrong with people??? YDI for adopting? Only purebred 700$ dogs deserve loving homes? Just take the dog to the vet get it checked out...******* snobs. It was an honest mistake for his first ten minutes of dog ownership and some bad luck. This website should have a "You're a ******* idiot." icon to click under every comment. And if you accumulate a certain amount you cant comment anymore. ******* fail comment posters.

That is the opposite of what the comments are saying. Work on your reading comprehension. They say "YDI for NOT adopting" as in, for buying from a store rather than going to a shelter. Try harder next time.

I agree with everyone, get a shelter dog who really deserves a home, even though I always feel horrible for the dogs at pet stores though because it's obvious they don't have a high quality of life stuck in those little cages :-/

Um... Walking inside for five minutes to buy food does not constitute neglect. And I really hate the morons who say YDI for buying from a pet store. For one thing, he could have adopted from the pet store and for another, so animals from pet stores aren't allowed the same quality of life and loving homes as shelter animals?
