Today, I woke up to the sound of sirens. My ex-girlfriend, who I had broken up with the day before, had set my car on fire. I had just finished restoring it. I was going to insure it today. FML

jd7546 tells us more.

I had just started restoring it when I got it, and nobody would insure it when I got it. it looked like a junkyard heap of shit, I just got it back the day before I broke up with her. still have the burnt up shell in my drive way that I have to dispose of :(

Parents need to teach their kids an important lesson- don't **** with other people's shit.

the guy should have her arrested then sue her and then drive by her jail in his brand new car her ***** ass had to pay for

Why are people saying to sue her or take her to court? Just call the cops FFS. Arson is a crime the last time I checked. Breaking up with someone doesn't make it OK to commit a crime against that person, no matter how many times you've seen people do it on TV.

@stayc If we didn't believe in divorce before, you would change our minds.

First, call the police and tell them everything even if you did something that may have made her snap besides ending the relationship. Second, delete your facebook account. Just blocking people someone doesnt mean they wont stalk you and while youre at it, change your cell number. Third, if she is convicted of setting your car on fire use that as basis for a nice restraining order - you may be able to get a good distance with this. Finally, legally change your name and move out of state.
