Today, I yelled at a new employee for violating the company's makeup policy which is minimum coverage. She had red lipstick, very dark drawn eyebrows, and foundation that made her look like a ghost. She took out a makeup wipe and used it then showed me it, only to reveal she doesn't wear any. FML

I'm sorry op but ydi. Always ask before you assume. Assumptions often lead to bad results.

No need to yell dude. Assumptions are the mother of all **** ups

What does "minimal coverage" even mean? OP is complaining that her foundation is too pale. Compared to what, exactly? Eyebrows and a lip is considered too much? That's not actually that much makeup to some people. I hate vague dress codes that only affect women.

Seriously. I'm naturally very pale so if I worked there I'd probably be getting screamed at by OP everyday.

Today, I got yelled at by my manager at work for being too pretty. FML

I know right, being too pretty must be awful!

Serves you right for not taking her aside and quietly reminding her of the policy. Calm your **** next time.

You have nothing better to do than yell at fellow employees about their makeup? You clearly need more work to do. Learn to mind your own business.

Why would you yell at her anyway? Just calmly correct her and be nice to her. There is no need to yell.
