Today, in front of my family, my brother's wife announced that she was pregnant with their first child. Everyone joked around and said I was next. Two weeks ago I found out that I'm sterile. FML

im sorry to hear this. but your value as a female, a human, and a wife has nothing to do with your ability to carry children. We aren't in the dark ages anymore for goodness sake! You can still be a parent if that is what you want. Adopt a child who needs parents, it's more responsible and open-hearted than just popping out your own.

I believe that adopting is a great choice.there are already around 7 billion people on earth,and if people had kids instead of adopted,that number would rise,so adopting is a great choice

If you didn't tell your family, then you don't get to be upset about this. If you did tell your family and they're being douchey anyway, then your life does suck. No matter what, don't make your sister in law feel bad about being pregnant. She gets to be happy.

The fact that she found oyt shes sterile and the family is celebrating her sister in laws pregnancy just makes it that much more painful. dont lose hope ppl who arent supposed to be able to conceive do sometimes. lonely kids need u too!

aww ! i wish i could say that I understand how you feel, but no one could unless that person is in your situation. I hope you find happiness in another form... maybe you should consider adoption :)
