i'm sorry. it sounds like something that would happen to me.
too bad no one actually graduates in march...
I love some the sense of entitlement and the need to stay fashionable of some people over 'ere. I assume the OP already has an iPod or similar player, probably given by their parents some time ago. But now, seeing as his sister got a flashy-new iPhone, he wants one too, because he couldn't possibly stay with an outdated but otherwise perfectly functional player? So much for consumerism. I stopped expecting gifts from my parents/relatives ever since I earned my first buck, back when I was 15. You should consider doing the same. Sure, I still get gifts sometimes, but I don't mind when Santa forgets me on x-mas - really, ever thought how ridiculous it is for people to be "required" to buy gifts on certain arbitrary dates? Giving gifts to someone else should be spontaneous and sincere acts, not this crap we practice today. I, for one, will not give gifts to my children just because some arbitrary convention requires me to.
#45- damn how fricken old are you? you sound like your 65. the point of the post isnt getting nothing but the giftcard its the fact that the sister is obviously favored.
I got my first phone at age 11. It wasn't an iPhone, all it did was call, text, and I think take pictures. My parents made me wait 3 months before I could call or text my friends.... As to the FML, that sucks. Favoritism :/
At # 28, #21 and #23 they could have bought the phone before hand and the older sibling just knew about it. Especially if there was a good deal on the phone.
34, I love you. Middle school graduation is such bullshit, anyway. I think it is frankly ridiculous that anyone should get anything for doing nothing that actually matters/will get you into college.
For all of you saying that it isn't true because of the date, the sister could have gotten the iPhone as an early present. That really sucks though, it's annoying when parents play favorites. Especially when they make it very very obvious.

That sucks. Guess we know who the favorite is.
As soon as I read this I said out loud "Woahhh, that's just ****** up."
