Today, it's my 18th birthday. My parents got me a $5 gift certificate to iTunes. It came for free with the iPhone they just bought my sister for her middle school graduation. FML

from #45's future kids... today is my birthday, but my parents didn't buy me anything because they don't feel "required" to give gifts on certain arbitrary dates. FML

on the bright side your sister probly wont make anything good of herself because shes spoiled, so when your parents ask for money (assuming the econmy ***** up their retirement ) you can give them a five dollar itunes giftcard that came with the new iphone you bought because of you have a job (im under the assumption you werent a complete fuc|

Ugh. I feel ya. I have the opposite thing happening to me, though. My parents figure that since my brother moved out, we don't really need to celebrate any holidays anymore. I got a magic bullet for my birthday this year--which, as it turns out, my mom actually just got for herself. :/ Life sucks. Maybe your gift is that you can leave your lame-ass parents?

How can you compare a graduation gift to a birthday gift? My parents stopped giving me gifts when I finished school, instead they send me a check in a Christmas card a little while before Christmas so I can buy myself something I like. Besides... I'd like to know what s/he got for THEIR middle school graduation? Maybe it balances out for the iPhone?

Get the five worst songs ever and play the out loud the entire day long, looping. At night, too. Don't let 'em sleep. Let them feel horrible for it. Really? It's not bad getting anything. But this contrasts effs everything.
