quit expecting everything to be handed to you. A lot of people don't get cars for their 16th birthday. A lot of people don't get their first car until after college and it's a piece of shit.

I'm looking at everyone calling this guy a spoiled brat and I disagree. It sounds like his mom offered to get him a car, which is a pretty big deal, then suddenly revoked the offer. Which is wrong

I would never buy my child a car. Certainly not if I lived in america. Sixteen year olds are still children, I'm sixteen my mself so shut your piehole, and here in Sweden we can't practise driving until we're sixteen and we get our license at eighteen because ... What causes most crashes in america? Teeeeeenagers.

When I turned 16, my parents gave me a key and led me out to the driveway. To a hot wheels car. The key was a $1 throw away from Walmart. They finally did buy me my first car - a $500 clunker - when I was 24 and public transportation was no longer an option where I lived.
