Today, it was graduation day, and the very first time I was hosting an event. When I got on stage, I stared at the audience for a good 5 seconds, then fainted. FML

115, not everybody can go up on stage, stop acting like you're better than those with stage fright. The fact that the OP was on stage at a grad ceremony probably means he/she is more important/skilled than you anyway. And that really sucks, but I'm sure it'll just be something you'll laugh about in the future. I doubt many people fault you for stage fright if it was your first time in front of a crowd EVER. p.s. I hope that doesn't happen to me today , nearly the same situation

dang how'd this get through the EXACT same thing happened to me last week at my graduation and it always got rejected... although my reason wasn't stage frieght

It's all right, some people just have a fear of public speaking.

Yeah, there are a ton of ignorant people on this site; tons of people dont like public speaking, being in front of a crowd, etc. i dont blame you. but you may have thought about it when you found out you were going to host, and whether or not you wanted to do it. cause i dont know if you always have that problem (not necessarily fainting), or if it was out of the blue.

O-o Um... how were chosen to host a ceremony when you can't last throughout the entire session? Lol. But, hope you're better
