Today, it was my first day on the job as a first grade teacher. One student pushed another, so I asked him to apologize. His response? "If you boss me around, I'll tell Daddy you touched me somewhere you shouldn't have." I think I'm now this kid's slave. FML

I'd report that little shit to his parents. Don't let him boss you around or else more and more kids will follow and you'll be miserable. Stand up for yourself!

Is it me, or are children getting less and less respectful at a sickeningly fast rate?

Screw that kid! Report that to the principle right away. Documentation may be the only thing that saves your ass.

Go down like a pro. If he says that you touched him there do it... With a 9-iron

You should tell somebody the kid threatened that, of you say something about that before him, then it makes it obvious it's not real. You could probably even get the other kid to admit he was pushing him around

Yeah tell someone the threat has been made (the principal would be a good start) so that if the kid does say something people will be less likely to believe him.

Here's what you do: set up cameras around the room, and anywhere else where you may be in the same room as him. If he complains to his parents, so them that no such thing is possible. Or just tell on him now.

I would tell the principal ASAP so you cover yourself in case he tries to say that!

So many children are sexually abused these days and adults think that it's just something the kids saw/heard somewhere and are just repeating it and the abuse just continues. And because of that it is absolutely imperative that they be taken seriously, and that the case is thoroughly investigated. Unfortunately sometimes one ends up in a situation like yours, being bullied. And I've dealt with enough bullies to know that there is no reasoning with that kid, he thinks that he's got you cornered, and a bully in power doesn't just give up. You need to take some measures to protect yourself: tell the principal about the threat; organize a meeting with the kids parents about the situation [if necessary have the other kid(s) as (a) witness(es)]; perhaps discuss setting up surveillance; and immediately notify the principal of any further threats. From there it's the parents and principal's responsibility.

Same thing happened to me while babysitting. The parents just laughed and shrugged it off. I still can't get that little shit to brush his teeth.
