i agree with 76 and others.2 years is a long time. if ur willing to throw 2 years away for a moment i think thats rid. on top of it he was going to work proving he actually did something versus her who has the opportunity to wake up late and at a moments notice pack. i think that the most important day is the wedding, an if she was with him for 2 years she pretty much knew what she was getting herself into. the meaning of the day shouldnt trump the person who gave it meaning. this proves she did not think the same...
I'm sorry she left you OP but you left a LETTER? C'mon bro, that's just not the way it's done.
That's the most antisocial proposal I've ever heard of... Maybe she was offended?
not only is that a stupid way to try and propose, but after only 2 years?! you totally deserved it!
how many years do you expect?! 20??
Did she take the ring?
With a lame proposal like that, can't really blame her.
It could be that OP works a job with odd hours that are incompatible with most of the rest of the world's sleep schedule. I used to work a variety of second- and third-shift jobs, myself--meant I hardly ever saw my g/f, let alone friends or any of the rest of humanity. Give OP a break.
That's not how you propose..
Did she eat the breakfast?

Oh my god, please accept my sincerest condolences. I hope you find a real keeper.
Next time take the day off and propose in person?....
