This could be an allergy to salycilates. Look that up! I know someone who has this allergy and went into anaphylaxis from drinking a cup of tea. A lot of fruits, vegetables, nuts and herbs (mint!) contain salycilates. I hope you are able to get it checked out and work out a safe plant based diet for yourself. **** all these vegan bashers.
I've had this allergy since I was a small child, I have no memory of being able to eat apples or peaches without an intense burning sensation on my skin and in my mouth. You need to cook everything at least 1 minute. Be wary of nuts too, I can't eat any walnuts, cashews or almonds unless they've been baked and processed. Unfortunately, I don't see your vegan diet being substantial with this allergy, but you can still easily be a vegetarian.
Being vegan is your choice. If it's bad for your health, stop.
You won't be vegan for long
Also a vegan. That would be hell. Good luck.
Op I know you're catching a lot of flack for being vegan, and I hope I'm not seen as contributing to it, but seriously take care of yourself first. If you can't eat without becoming Ill, try anything and everything that you can access. Time is a factor here, breaking the tenants of your diet may be necessary until you can lay out an effective dietary plan to work around these allergies. You can always return to strict veganism once you've made sure to take care of yourself. Please do not starve or make yourself sick
I'm not surprised. Your body needs certain levels of everything to stay healthy. Some meats, some grains, some veggies, and some fruits all make it perfect. when you go vegan and restrict your diet it can lead to things like your case. your body is asking you to eat something else.

That would be funny as hell if meat turned out to be the only thing you weren't allergic to.
Beeing healthier than the average american isn't really a big accomplishment.
